Barcelona Zoo is wonderful zoo located conveniently not too far from the Barcelona center. Barcelona zoo tickets include live dolphin shows few times a day.

Helsinki Zoo Korkeasaari - Zoo island next to Helsinki city

Korkasaari is a nice zoo in Helsinki Finland. Korkeasaari Zoo is actually a small island with 10-15 minutes boat ride from the Helsinki Market Square. There is also a bridge and bus connection for those who don't like boats. Most tourists go to Korkeasaari Zoo from Market Square where the boats go from May to September. Boats are wooden ferries or a paddle steamer and they go rather often especially on peak times. There are cafe and restaurant at Korkeasaari.

In Korkeasaari there are many animals from Asia, Norther America, Australia, Africa and South America. Most visitors especially like the possibility to see brown bears very closely through the glass window. Sometimes you can get very close to these bears.

If you have travelled and visited many zoos you will perhaps not be suprised by the number of exotic animals but you will most likely enjoy the beautiful nature of Korkeasaari. Also the ferry ride from Helsinki Market Square offers nice views for visitors.

Rome Zoo - Bioparco di Roma

In 2011 the Bioparco celebrated its 100th anniversary: inaugurated in 1911 and situated in the historical park of Villa Borghese, it is today one of Europe’s oldest zoological gardens. In 1935  the zoo was enlarged to its current surface area of 17 hectares. For tourists Bioparco is ideally located in the Villa Borghese park, which is a beautiful tourist attraction in itself.

Bioparco di Roma is is open every day of the year except for 25 December. Adult tickets to Bioparco cost 13€ and children (over 1m but under 12 years) 11€.

The best Zoo in Europe - Copenhagen Zoo - Zoo Kobenhavn

Copenhagen Zoo is open 365 days a year and it's located appr. 10 minutes bus ride from Copenhagen main railway station or Tivoli. Copenhagen Zoo is excellent 1/2 day visit for families visiting Copenhagen. In Copenhagen Zoo you can see elephants, camels, monkeys, lions, bears, ice bears and many other interesting animals. Copenhagen Zoo also has childrens play area and even the smallest children can enjoy visit at Copenhagen Zoo.

There are two restaurants at the Zoo: The family restaurant Provianten and Café Konnind's. Both restaurants are located close to the Entrance.
